On this daytime walking tour, you will visit multiple above-ground cemeteries along Canal Street, including Cypress Grove and Greenwood, as well as a stop at the Hurricane Katrina Memorial. Learn about New Orleans' famed Cities of the Dead. This tour is historical and not scary.
These are some of the only cemeteries currently open to the public at this time, due to COVID-19 closures. We hope to resume our St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 tour once the pandemic has ended.
This tour begins at The Beachcorner Bar & Grill, 4905 Canal Street, which is about 3 miles from the French Quarter. One easy way to get there is to take the Canal Street Streetcar line. Please note, The Beachcorner Bar & Grill is ages 21 and up and there are almost no restrooms available for children nearby.
